Sophia Bush is finally setting the record straight about her relationship with former soccer player Ashlyn Harris.
In an essay published by Glamor, not only the Hill of a tree The star came out as “queer” for the first time, but confirmed his relationship with Harris and addressed the “homewrecker” rumors.
“I finally feel like I can breathe,” wrote Sophia Bush about declaring her sexuality. “I don’t think she can explain how profound that is.”
The actress then shared that she felt like she had been wearing a weight vest for so long. “I didn’t realize how heavy it was until I finally put it down,” she wrote. “This may sound crazy, but I think other people in trauma recovery will understand. I’m breathing deeply again.”
Bush filed for divorce from businessman Grant Hughes last summer. The couple had been married for just over a year before breaking up.
Just a couple of months later, PEOPLE reported that Sophia Bush had moved on and was dating Ashlyn Harris. However, the actress was heavily criticized because Harris had given up on her marriage to fellow soccer player Ali Kreiger weeks before the relationship arose.
Many speculated that cheating had occurred and that Bush was a “homewrecker.” The management wrote about the gossip.

When speaking about her relationship with Ashlyn Harris, Sophia Bush confirmed that the two had met in 2019. They became close in the summer of 2023 and comforted each other while going through their divorces.
Although he had asked Harris for a “group meeting without friends,” the duo ended up having a four-hour dinner. He described it as one of the “most surreal experiences” he has ever had.
“Maybe it was all meant to be,” Sophia Bush wrote about the divorces and her relationship with Ashlyn Harris. “It may really be a version of invisible string theory. I don’t know.”

Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris went public with their relationship at ArtBasel in Miami during the 2023 holiday season. They were recently seen at Elton John’s Oscar party and celebrated Ruby Rose’s 38th birthday.
