Sonali was born on 27 June 1983 (age: 36 years, as of 2019) to Arun Jaitley and Sangeeta Jaitley. Sonali’s younger brother Rohan Jaitley is also a lawyer by profession.

Sonali married her boyfriend Jayesh Bakshi in a star-studded ceremony on 7 December 2015. Jayesh is also a lawyer by profession and runs his own law firm.

Sonali did her LLB and LLM from Amity Law School, Delhi during 2001-2006 and then became a professional lawyer.
Sonali Jaitley came into limelight during the 2019 general elections when she sent defamation notices to AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi Marlena and Manish Sisodia on behalf of BJP’s East-Delhi candidate Gautam Gambhir.
Controversy
Sonali Jaitley was accused of taking money. On 20 February 2018, Rs 24 lakh was recovered from fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi. For this, the Congress party held Sonali’s father Arun Jaitley, who was the Union Minister at that time, responsible and demanded his resignation.
