He faced a lot of backlash and received threats from both fellow YouTubers and individuals he interviewed. They labelled him as an Indian and accused him of receiving financial help from India for creating such content. During an interview, he discussed the challenges faced at the start of his YouTube journey. He revealed that his former colleagues from his prior news channels warned him that focusing on content related to India might leave him with no chance of returning to a mainstream media role. He did not care about the consequences and started creating content centred around India vs. Pakistan to change the perspectives of individuals in Pakistan. He also started “Mission Kashmir” on his YouTube channel, conducting interviews where he inquired whether Kashmir should be part of India or Pakistan.
