‘Sister Wives’ Star Garrison Brown Opens Up About ‘Savior Complex’ Days Before Her Death at Age 25

New details are coming to light following the tragic death of sister wives star Garrison Brown. In one of his last posts, he shared that he adopted a cat.

Shared on his Instagram, Brown spoke about his inherent savior complex and how he couldn’t allow the shelter to euthanize the cat. “The latest edition at my house, Mrs. Buttons. He is 9 years old and was in line for euthanasia but my savior complex was not enough. #crazycatlady,” Garrison captioned the photos.

Authorities reportedly found Brown deceased in his Arizona home. They responded to a call from Brown’s brother, Gabriel, who discovered his sister. Initial reports indicate that Brown likely died of an apparent suicide.

“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” they wrote. “He was a bright spot in the lives of everyone who knew him. The loss of him will leave such a void in our lives that he will take our breath away. “We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”

Before his death, Brown had been at odds with his father. Janelle spoke of concern for her two children and her current mental state. “Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything,” she said during an episode of the show. “And Garrison just seems angry or sadder, like he’s not as carefree as he used to be.”

Janelle had hoped her family could reconcile. “Even if maybe they don’t reconcile, they come to peace, because I feel like when there’s static in relationships, especially in a relationship with parents, it affects your life,” Janelle told Us Weekly. “It does affect them when they don’t have a good [relationship] with his dad. So I hope that in the future things can improve.”
