The social e-commerce site seeks to make fashion less wasteful by giving the new generation a space to buy and sell products from both massive brands and independent designers. The Sims 4 High School Years expansion is set to arrive in July, and it will feature unique clothing designed by top Depop sellers.
The upcoming Sims 4 High School Years DLC will introduce a new town called Copperdale, which comes complete with trendy landmarks and a high school called Copperdale High. Teenaged Sims will be able to enroll in the school and engage in age-appropriate activities like attending class, taking exams, playing football and going on dates. The Sims 4 expansion will apparently center around young love, which should make High School Years a fun role-playing experience. The small town of Copperdale will be filled with notable locations to explore, including a popular site for teen dates called Plumbite Pier. The High School Years expansion pack will release on July 28, and it will also bring with it a flashy new wardrobe.
A Twitter post from The Sims reveals that the High School Years expansion for The Sims 4 will feature new clothing designed by Depop designers Bella, Jeremy, Selena, Lapoze and Sha’an. A Sims 4 blog post reveals that these new cosmetic items will be available in Copperdale’s combination thrift shop and boba hangout, Thriftea. Sims will be able to increase the value of an outfit by hyping it up before selling it on the new in-game Trendi app. The post also includes an interview with the five Depop sellers which sheds light on their clothing design philosophies. Thanks to these new outfits, Sims 4’s High School Years expansion can capture an authentic teenage experience.
While High School Years will let players become a digital teenager, the recent Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack lets them become a monstrous lycanthrope instead. The pack introduces Moonwood Mill, an atmospheric town filled with werewolf lore and moonlit fields. The expansion lets players create a werewolf character and join a pack of their fellow lycans to engage in canine-specific activities. The Sims 4 Werewolves pack is an especially perfect companion to the game’s previously-released vampire-focused pack, allowing the two classic monsters to clash in dramatic ways.
