Simranjeet Kaur was born on Monday, 10 July 1995 (age 26 years; as in 2021) in Chakar village, Ludhiana, Punjab. His zodiac sign is Cancer. When Simranjit was a teenager, her elder sister was pursuing boxing as a career option. Seeing her elder daughter performing well in sports, Simranjeet’s mother encouraged her to take up boxing as a career option. When Simranjeet was just 15 years old, she joined Sher-e-Punjab Sports Academy in Chakar village to learn the basics of boxing.
As of 2020, Simranjit was pursuing her graduation (BA 2nd year) from Chandigarh University.

Simranjeet is the daughter of Kamal Jeet Singh and Rajpal Kaur. His father worked at a grocery shop in Chakar village. He died of a heart attack in 2018. He has an elder sister Sonia Kaur (serving in BSF) and two younger brothers named Golu Bath and Akash Deep Singh Bath.

Simranjit started his boxing career in 2010. Her breakthrough came in the year 2011 when she won the bronze medal in the 6th Junior Women’s National Boxing Championship held in Patiala. Subsequently, she won a bronze medal at the 4th Inter-Zonal Women’s National Boxing Championship (2012) in Visakhapatnam.
In the same year, she participated in the 8th Junior Women’s National Boxing Championship in Patiala and won a silver medal. In 2013, she represented India at the Youth World Championships in the 60 kg category and won a bronze medal.
Subsequently, she won a bronze medal at the 16th Senior (Elite) Women’s National Boxing Championship in New Bongaigaon, Guwahati. In 2017, Kaur won two bronze medals at the Senior International Championships in Kazakhstan.
He won the first international gold medal of his career in the 64 kg category at the Ahmet Komert International Boxing Tournament in Istanbul, Turkey in 2018.
The same year, she was part of the 10-member Indian team at the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in New Delhi and won a bronze medal in the light welterweight category. The team was led by Mary Kom. In 2019, he won the gold medal at the 23rd President International Boxing Tournament in Labuan Baju, Indonesia.
Simranjeet qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after winning a silver medal in the women’s lightweight (57-60 kg) category at the Asian Boxing Olympic Qualifiers in Amman, Jordan.
