Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens married in May 2023 and have been living long distance since shortly after.
The 26-year-old Olympian and 28-year-old NFL star exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in April and then flew to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a big wedding with family and friends. About a week after saying “I do” for the second time, they broke up after he left to play for the Green Bay Packers.
She talked about how they’re tackling the challenge in a new interview. The gymnast also teased plans to return to the Olympics next year!

Simone opened up about the relationship during an interview on Today. “Right after Cabo, he went to Green Bay and signed, and two days later he was there, so it’s been different,” she explained.
He noted that there was something positive that kept them distracted: “At least we are both busy and focused on our respective sports. “It’s been nice.” They also learned to “cherish the moments we spent together.”
The couple may have more distance ahead of them. Simone also confirmed that she hopes to compete in the 2024 Olympics after returning to gymnastics. She emerged victorious in her first competition in two years in August. Simone broke a 90-year-old record in the process!
