He was an all-round sportsman in school, who actively participated in various extra-curricular activities. When he was five years old, he started participating in plays in the Delhi theater circuit. However, he would spend hours on the road commuting between his home and school in Delhi, leaving him with no time for any activities. Therefore, his parents decided to enroll him in Mayo College, Ajmer, where he did his schooling. There, he participated in debate competitions at the international level, represented India in a youth golf tournament in South Africa, acted in various school plays, etc. He also played many sports like football, hockey and cricket. He was the captain of cultural activities, golf team and debate team during his school days. In 2016, he organized TEDxYouth@MayoCollege.

After this he studied Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University. After college, he acted in various theatrical productions before securing roles in TV commercials. One day he saw a Facebook post from Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company (MCCC) that casting director Mukesh Chhabra was hosting a meet at India Habitat Centre, Delhi. There, Shaw appeared for an audition and won a role in the film Love Aaj Kal 2 (2020).

He appeared in the short film Zaroori Hai (2022), which was conceptualized, developed and produced by Impulse New Delhi in association with AHF India Cares. The film aims to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, improve access to HIV prevention and treatment, and fight the stigma of people living with HIV. It premiered at the Alliance Française de Delhi.

- He became interested in acting at a very young age. When he was three or four years old, he would come home from school and spend his afternoons acting out scenes from Bollywood films.
