Shiv Thakare was born on September 9, 1989 (at the age of 33 as of 2022) in Amravati, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Virgo.
He completed his schooling at Sant Kavaram Vidyalaya in Amravati, Maharashtra. He obtained his graduation degree from G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Due to his financial constraints, he had to take up various odd jobs after college, such as being a newspaper delivery person, farming, and giving tuition classes.
In 2015, he was selected to participate in the popular reality TV game show Roadies Rising (season 14). His popularity grew rapidly while he was on the show, and he reached the semi-finals before being eliminated. After Roadies, he focused on building his career as a choreographer. He started his own dance studio and also participated in numerous dance competitions.
In September 2019, he became the winner of the game reality show “Bigg Boss Marathi” Season 2. He took home the winner’s trophy and prize money of Rs 17 lakh.

Shiv Thakare comes from a Kshatriya family. He was born to ManoharRao UttamRao Jhinguji Ganuji Thakare, who owns a pan shop. His mother’s name is Ashatai Thakare. He has a sister, Manisha Thakare, who is married.
He was rumoured to be dating his co-star and Roadies Rising Winner Shweta Mehta.
He then dated the Indian actress Veena Jagtap.

Shiv Thakare is a dancer and choreographer who owns his dance studio, Shiv Thakare Dance Studio, in Amravati, Maharashtra. He teaches dance and also participates in various dance competitions.
He also works with an event management company and organizes various events across Maharashtra, including fashion shows, dance competitions, and other competitive shows. In addition, he actively participates in reality shows, having appeared in Roadies Rising (Season 14) and Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2.
Shiv Thakare, along with his ex-girlfriend Veena Jagtap, featured in the Marathi music video ‘Kasa Chandra.’
Shiv has participated in a few other TV shows like “The Anti Social Network” (2019) and “MTV Roadies Revolution” (2020). Although he had never actually fallen victim to the casting couch, Mr. Thakare recalled a few close encounters and said, “There was a lady in Four Bungalows. She would tell me that she had made this person and that person. She would call me for an audition at 11 at night. I’m not so naive that I wouldn’t understand that auditions don’t happen at night. So, I told her that I had some work and couldn’t make it. To this, she said, ‘You don’t want to work?’”
