Shefali was born on Wednesday, 15 December 1982 (age 38 years; as in 2020) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Their zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She was in a relationship with TV actor Siddharth Shukla. Later, the couple parted ways amicably. After dating for some time, Shefali married Parag Tyagi (TV actor) on 12 August 2014.

He started his career in 2002 by acting in the music video ‘Kaanta Laga’. This song became a big hit and Shefali got a lot of popularity. Later, she appeared in other music videos, including Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar Remix (2002), Maal Bhari Aahe – DJ Hot Remix (2004), and Pyaar Humse Kis Mode Pe Le Aaya (2006). She made a cameo in the Bollywood film- Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). In 2008, she participated in Sony TV’s dance show ‘Boogie Woogie’. In 2011, she appeared in the Kannada film- Hudugaru. Shefali participated in season 5 and season 7 of the celebrity dance reality show Nach Baliye with her husband Parag Tyagi. She has appeared in two Hindi web series – Baby Come Na (2018) and Boo Sabki Fategi (2019). In 2019, Shefali entered the Bigg Boss 13 house as a wild card contestant.

Reportedly, Shefali Jariwala was in an abusive relationship with her ex-husband Harmeet Singh. She filed a case of ill-treatment and physical harassment against him at a police station in Mumbai.

- According to Shefali, when she was studying in college, she was offered Kaanta Laga and was given Rs 7000 for singing. She revealed this in an interview in which she also revealed that, initially, her father was skeptical about letting her sing, and she had to convince him. Shefali said,
I was in college then and I come from a family of academics, so my parents told me to focus on my studies. But I wanted to do it because I was getting paid to do it. I earned Rs 7,000 from that song and I wanted to see myself on TV. My father was completely against it. So first, I convinced my mother and then, both of us convinced my father. And that song became such a hit that it was like a fairy tale for me. It changed my life completely.”
