Shafqat Cheema is a Pakistani actor and producer, best known for playing the negative role of Saka Kanjar in the 2011 Lollywood film Bol starring Atif Aslam and Mahira Khan. In October 2022, Shafqat appeared as Jeeva Nat in the highest-grossing Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan.

In an interview, Shafqat revealed that his father wanted him to become an Aalim (scholar). But, coincidentally, he went to Shahnoor Studio in Pakistan after which he decided to pursue a career in acting. Initially he started working as a stuntman in Lollywood films. After struggling for about 16 years as a stuntman, he got a chance to play the supporting role of Qasim in the film Kalka in 1989. Shafqat has appeared in Lollywood films like Parindey as Afzal (1992)., Pajero Group – Haji Rashid Ahmed (1994), Ishtehari Gujjar – Ghulam-e-Mustafa (2001), Nag Aur Naagin – Changez (2005), Kafra – Balwant Singh (2011), Main Hoon Shahid Afridi – Bashir Bhatti (2013), and Jeeyo Sir as Utha’s Ghulam Rasool (2017).
In October 2022, he appeared in the film The Legend of Maula Jatt, in which he played the role of Jeeva Nat, which became the first Pakistani film to enter the Rs 100 crore club within 10 days of its release.

- In an interview, Shafqat talked about his experience of appearing as a villain in Lollywood films and said,
The art of being a villain lies in maturity and willingness to immerse yourself in a role so that the hero can feel your presence. When I started doing negative roles, my mentor showed me clips from Anthony Quinn’s films, and I learned that the trick was to focus on the eyes.
- In an interview, Shafqat revealed that during the early days of her career, her mentors advised her to play small roles in films and act proficiently instead of auditioning for lead roles.
- In an interview, Shafqat recalled an incident in which he was almost on the verge of death and revealed that Shafqat had fallen into water during the shooting of the film Dil Sambhal Na Jaye near Rawal Lake in Islamabad. He did not know how to swim and started drowning. Shafqat’s cousin Nadeem Cheema, being ignorant of swimming, jumped into the water to save him. Once upon a time, we were shooting a film “Dil Sambhal Na Jaye” in Rawal Lake Islamabad, I and Saud were shooting a fight scene in the water. While performing for the scene, Saud jumped on me and both of us went into the swamp. I did not know how to swim but Saud knew how to swim, I told him to save me otherwise I would drown. I was screaming help me! help me! But Saud pushed me away, went out of the water and saved himself. I was completely submerged in water and my voice was lost as my lungs were filled with water, I started signaling with my hands and saw that my younger brother Navid Cheema was jumping to save me, He also did not know how to swim and he drowned in the water.
