In episode seven, Bre has drinks with her co-star Amanza Smith, who asks Bre if it’s true that someone doesn’t have to pay child support after having 10 children.

“That’s true,” Bre replies. “The way it works is like, after 10, the court can basically say you can’t pay child support. Or because he is who he is, they might say, ‘We know he can pay X amount for each household.’

In a confessional, Amanza says, “That explains a lot, I guess. I would follow him too.”

Later in their conversation, Bre points out that she is not depending on Nick to financially care for her or their son.

“I take care of myself,” says Bre. “If my son needs something, or we need it, I ask, it’s all I have to do. I know he is a good father and Nick is not my sugar daddy, Nick is not the reason I am where I am.”

In a confessional, Bre adds: “I definitely strive to be the best at everything, to the point where it drives me crazy, but I’ve worked hard to be where I am. I did all this myself and of course my son is even more of a motivator. I want to give him all of me. Not from my partner.
