Satyen Kappu was born in 1931 (age 76 years at death) in Panipat, Punjab, British India.

livelihood
In 1952, he started working as a theater actor with the Indian People’s Theater Association (IPTA) in Bombay. He acted in over 390 films from the 1960s to the early 2000s. He debuted with the Bollywood film ‘Kabuliwala’ (1961). Some of her Hindi films are ‘Sapno Ka Saudagar’ (1968), ‘Chhoti Bahu’ (1971), ‘Sita Aur Geeta’ (1972), ‘Do Gaj Zameen Ke Neeche’ (1972), ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’ (1973). ), ‘Benaam’ (1974), ‘Kala Sona’ (1975), ‘Don’ (1978), ‘The Burning Train’ (1980), ‘Main Aur Mera Haathi’ (1981), ‘Naseeb Apna Apna’ (1986 ) ), and ‘Raja Bhaiya’ (2003).
He played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s father in the Bollywood film ‘Deewar’ (1975). He dubbed for the voice of the main villain in ‘Gehri Chaal’ (1973) and the dialogues for Mohammed Al Fardeen in ‘Subah-o-Shaam’ (1972).
Death
He died on 27 October 2007 in Sunder Nagar, Mumbai; Due to cardiac arrest. Reportedly, he was diabetic and had high blood pressure. His last rites were performed at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.
