Satish Kaul was a veteran Indian actor. He was best known for playing the role of ‘Indradev’ in the popular mythological TV serial ‘Mahabharata’ (1988); Aired on DD National.

Death
On 10 April 2021, he died from COVID-19 complications. Upon his death his sister spoke about his illness in an interview, saying,
He had fever for the last five-six days and was not well. So, on Thursday, we admitted him to Shri Ram Charitable Hospital here and then we came to know that he has tested positive for coronavirus, his last rites will be held on Sunday.

- He was suffering from poor financial condition and was living in an old age home. In an interview he shared his dire financial situation and said,
I never imagined even in my dreams that I would be so fascinated. About 6 months ago, I fell in the bathroom, after which I suffered many injuries besides a hip injury and had to be admitted to the hospital. I was forced to stay in the hospital for a long time, because my house has been sold. Actually I opened a school in Ludhiana. I felt very sad about that. I had to sell the house. There is no one to take care of me, because I was divorced many years ago and my wife had gone abroad with my son. He says in a weak voice, ‘I want to appeal to the industry for help. I don’t have money for treatment. If I am not at home, I will be picked up from the hospital and thrown away at any time. A minister came to meet me and promised help, but nothing further happened. “People leave with promises of money, but no one comes back.”
