Sarvapriya Sangwan was born on 16 December (year not known) in Rohtak, the so-called Jatland of Haryana.
He did his primary education from a school named Jyoti Prakash Public School, Rohtak. He began to dislike mathematics in high school and when he entered 12th grade, he chose biology instead of mathematics. After appearing for the 12th board exam, he started preparing for the medical entrance exam and passed the exam in the first attempt. After this, he did BDS course at Government Dental College and Hospital in Rohtak, Haryana. Sarvapriya also did a master’s degree in journalism from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Sarvapriya says that she had a keen interest in the study of law since childhood, due to which she studied law. She considers herself a liberal and non-religious person. She is also good at poetry and has often been seen reciting her poetry at various poetry conferences.

Sarvapriya Sangwan belongs to a Jat family. His father (name not known) is also an active journalist. Sarvapriya’s mother Rajbala Sangwan is the warden at Yamuna Hostel of MDU.
livelihood
After becoming a dentist, his father encouraged him to pursue journalism and asked him to join the NDTV Media Institute in New Delhi. He did a Diploma in Journalism from NDTV Media Institute and after that he got a chance to work with Ravish Kumar, one of the famous Hindi journalists. He has worked with the research team of Ravish Kumar’s show- Prime Time. At NDTV, she also worked as an anchor from September 2011 to August 2017. He was first seen by the public in 2014 when he covered the Lok Sabha elections extensively; Helping Ravish Kumar. In September 2017, Sarvapriya left NDTV and moved to BBC World Service as a broadcast journalist.
