Sandeep Narwal was selected for the Haryana state team and further selected by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in 2009. He was sent to Gandhinagar for further training under Jaiveer Sharma, who played a major role in shaping Sandeep’s raiding performance.
Pro Kabbadi League
Sandeep Narwal started his Pro Kabaddi League career with Patna Pirates and was a key member of the team for the first three seasons, taking the team to the semi-finals in Season 2 and winning the title in Season 3. Sandeep Narwal played with Telugu Titans in Season 4. .Despite some inspired performances from Sandeep, Telugu Titans failed to make the playoffs. In Season 5, Puneri Paltan bought him in the auction for Rs 72.6 lakh. He was used as a right-corner defender as well as a backup raider. Puneri Paltan retained him for Season 6 after losing in the playoffs.
For Season 7, U Mumba had bought Sandeep in the auction for Rs 89 lakh.
In Season 8, he played with Dabang Delhi KC and scored a total of 64 points in 24 matches.

Sandeep Narwal first played for the Indian team in the Junior Asiad in 2011, where he caught the attention of many coaches due to his performances. He was part of the gold medal winning Indian team at the South Asian Games 2016. He was also part of the title-winning Indian team for the Kabaddi World Cup 2016 and Dubai Masters 2018. He was also part of the Indian team that won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games after losing to Iran in the semi-finals.
