Novelist Salman Rushdie is a British-American of Indian origin. He published “Grimus”, his debut, although it did not receive many good reviews. His second book, “Midnight’s Children”, which was published in 1981, won the Booker Prize and was declared “the best novel of all winners” on the 25th and 40th anniversaries of the prize.
His previous books are Quichotte (2019), The Golden House (2017, reprinted in 2019), The Ground Beneath Her Feet (1999) and The Enchantress of Florence (2008).
