Saibal Bhattacharya is an Indian actor and screenwriter who predominantly works in the Bengali television industry. He came into limelight on 9 August 2022 when he tried to commit suicide at his residence in Kolkata. Soon after injuring himself with a sharp weapon, he posted a live video on Facebook and blamed his wife and mother-in-law for it. He was taken to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital by the city’s local police after his video went viral on social media.
