RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Shangela has reportedly been accused of sexually assaulting five people in a new revelation.

In the exhibition, which was published by Rolling Stone on Monday, March 18, revealed that the five people were identified as members of the LGBTQ community. They accused the famous drag queen, whose real name is Darius Jeremy Pierce, of sexually assaulting them or attempting to have sex with them after he was too intoxicated to give her consent.
One of Shangela’s alleged victims, named Helmer, claimed she was 20 years old when she met the drag queen. She had been working at a bar in Los Angeles in 2017.
Helmer stated that after chatting via social media, the duo decided to meet for a “late dinner.” During the event, Pierce bought Helmer a drink.
The 27-year-old claimed he told the Los Angeles Police Department in 2023 that he “has no memory of the events that occurred” after drinking the drink. However, he does remember waking up “completely naked” in a bed and is believed to have been in Pierce’s residence.
Helmer claimed in his complaint to the Los Angeles Police Department that when he asked Pierced what happened the night before and why he was naked, the famous drag queen said they had sex and that there was another man involved who Helmer brought in.
When Helmer asked who the other guy was, Pierce said he didn’t know, but that Helmer was “really interested.”
Helmer later said it took him a few days to realize he had been sexually assaulted.
Shangela’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, said Helmer’s allegations are “absurd.” Brettler said Helmer returned to Pierce’s home where they had consensual sex with a third man. They had met the man at the bar.
Second accuser claims Shangela assaulted him in a closet
A second accuser named Edward Ramirez claimed that Shangela allegedly assaulted him. The famous drag queen allegedly pushed Ramírez to the floor of a closet and tried to penetrate him when he was 21 years old.
The alleged assault occurred in 2018. “I am very sure I was clear with my ‘no’. “I was rejecting the advances,” Ramírez said. “She kept trying anyway.”
However, Brettler also denied the allegation, stating that three people could “attest that Mr. Pierce and Mr. Ramirez were never alone” on the night in question.
“The apartment was small and we were all together until we left,” a witness told the media. “[Shangela] She is one of the kindest, most generous, and hardest-working drag queens in the business. And it’s really disgusting to see how people try to attack her with these false stories.”
