How did the program and its extensions fare at the 2021 Emmy Awards?

RuPaul’s 2021 Emmy Awards made history. With 11 wins, the host broke the record for the most Emmy awards given by a person of color. The popular reality program also became the most awarded reality competition show at the Emmys. Last year, RuPaul and celebrity cameraman Donald A. Morgan battled it out for the most Emmys for people of color. Other reality shows nominated for the 2022 Emmy Awards include The Amazing Race, The Voice, Top Chef and Survivor. Many Netflix reality shows have been nominated for the award, including Love On The Spectrum US, Selling Sunset and Queer Eye. The 2022 Emmy Awards will air live on NBC on September 12th at 8:00 PM ET and will be broadcast live on the Peacock.
