Rosanna Scotto began her career as a television reporter at WTBS, Ted Turner’s UHF television station in Atlanta. Later, in 1982, she returned to her native New York to work as a reporter for WABC-TV. She was the host of Good Morning New York, which later became Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. After a year, she became a reporter for WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News.
In 1986, she left WABC to join Fox’s WNYW. She started there as a weekend host and reporter. Later that year, in 1994, she began anchoring the work version of Fox 5 News. She also guest-starred on an episode of Fox’s police thriller New York Undercover.
