On Monday, one of Ronaldo’s old colleagues shared the tragic news of the footballer’s death on social media. Powell, a former football star, was only 32 years old and a few months shy of 33. Ronald Powell was born on May 14, 1991 in Riverside, California, USA. He attended Rancho Verde High School and played defensive end, linebacker and tight end. Powell was one of the most sought after high school players in the country. Later, after high school, he received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida.
As a freshman in 2010, he started one game and played in 13 others. He became a full-time starter for the Gators in his second season, appearing and starting in 12 games. During his football career he played for the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Orlando Apollos.
