He was selected as a singer for the music album ‘Pancharatna’ in 2009. In 2019, he auditioned for Indian Idol 11 and was selected among the top-15 contestants. On 23 February 2020, he was declared the first runner-up of the show and Sunny Malik won the title of Indian Idol 11.
