Rohit Godara Kapurisar is a US-based criminal who is wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and a henchman of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang. Godara made headlines for the murder of gangster Raju Thehat in 2022 and the murder of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena (SRRKS) chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in 2023.

Rohit Godara, a resident of Kapurisar in Lunkaransar area of Bikaner, entered the world of crime at the age of 19. There are more than 32 criminal cases registered against Godara in various police stations across the country. He is linked to Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang who are infamous for their involvement in the murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.
Murder of gangster Raju Thehat
On December 3, 2022, gangster Raju Thehat was shot dead by some unknown miscreants near his residence in Udyog Nagar area of Sikar, Rajasthan. Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for Theth’s murder, saying that he wanted to avenge the murder of gangsters Anand Pal Singh and Balveer Banura. According to sources, there was a feud going on between Raju Theth and Anandpal gang. Reports suggest that the Anandpal gang teamed up with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to avenge his murder. Anand Pal Singh was killed in a police encounter on 24 June 2017. The event became a rallying point for Rajput organizations as Anand Pal was a cult figure among many Rajput and Ravana Rajput communities. The youth saw him as the protector of the Rajputs against the rival Jat community. Furthermore, Anandapala received recognition for his practice of redistributing wealth, giving to the poor and stealing from the rich. This gave him a reputation like Robin Hood. Hence, news of his encounter led to violent protests in Rajasthan, in which railway tracks were uprooted, public property was damaged and one person was reportedly killed in police firing.
Murder of SRRKS chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi
On 5 December 2023, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot by three unidentified assailants inside his office-cum-residence in Shyam Nagar, Jaipur. Despite being taken to Metro Mass Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries and died. Following the attack, wanted criminal Rohit Godara Kapurisar openly claimed responsibility for Gogamedi’s murder through a Facebook post, which read,
Ram Ram to all the brothers, me Rohit Godara Kapoorisar, Goldie Brar. Brothers, today Sukhdev Gogamedi was murdered. We take full responsibility for this. It is we who have committed this murder. Brothers, I want to tell you that he supported our enemies. Used to strengthen them. As far as enemies are concerned, they should keep their bier ready at the door of their house. Will meet him soon too.

Notably, Godara had earlier claimed responsibility for the murder of another gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar, Rajasthan. Godara is linked to Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang who are infamous for planning the murder of popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and issuing death threats to Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan. According to the Facebook post, Godara killed Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi because Sukhdev had supported his enemies.

Gogamedi’s murder was captured on CCTV cameras, which showed two men firing multiple bullets at him. Jaipur (South) Deputy Commissioner of Police Yogesh Goyal revealed that the two attackers have been identified as Rohit Rathod Makrana from Jaipur and Nitin Fauji from Mahendragarh, Haryana.

Meanwhile, some media houses reported that the two attackers have been identified as Rohit Singh Shekhawat and Nitin Fauji. Nitin Fauji was also reportedly in touch with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. In retaliatory firing, Ajit Singh (also known as Ajit Singh), a security guard from Gogamedi, was seriously injured, and Naveen Singh Shekhawat, one of the attackers, was killed. The other two attackers immediately fled from the scene. They stole a two-wheeler from a person named Hemraj on Kishan Jan Path, made an unsuccessful attempt to rob the car and then fled through Shyam Nagar, Nirman Nagar and Rani Sati Nagar.
