Rohit Bal started his career as a fashion designer in 1986 with his elder brother Rajeev Bal in a company called Orchid Overseas Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. He started his own label in 1990. He makes clothes for both men and women. Bal uses lavish fabrics like velvet and brocade and his designs are inspired by Indian culture and dignity.

Rohit Bal arrested in New Delhi
In September 2017, Rohit Bal was arrested by Delhi Police from Defense Colony. Reportedly, Rohit’s neighbor Iqbal Singh lodged a complaint against him and his friends alleging that four men forcefully entered his house and “under the influence of alcohol, threatened them and created ruckus.” A case was registered and Rohit Bal was released on bail the next day. Later, Baal’s assistant gave a statement on the issue and said,
This fight took place over car parking. It is over now and he (the hair) is resting.”
