Ritu Phogat is an Indian MMA (mixed martial arts) athlete and former freestyle wrestler. She is the sister of famous wrestlers Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat. He is the 2016 Commonwealth Wrestling gold medalist.

Ritu Phogat was born on Monday, 2 May 1994 (age 25 years; as in 2019) in Balali, Haryana. His zodiac sign is Taurus. When she was just 8 years old, she started wrestling training under the guidance of her father Mahavir Singh Phogat. Initially, he found the game difficult; Since he had to wake up at 4 a.m., he eventually developed a passion for the sport. Ritu passed her 10th class examination and later left school to focus on sports.

Ritu Phogat belongs to a Hindu Jat family. His father, Mahavir Singh Phogat, is an amateur wrestler and senior Olympic coach. His mother Shobha (Daya) Kaur is a housewife. His elder sisters Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat are wrestlers. His younger sister Sangeeta Phogat is also a wrestler. Ritu also has a younger brother named Dushyant Phogat (Modu).
livelihood
Ritu Phogat started her career as a wrestler in 2011 in the 48 kg freestyle category. She made her international debut in 2014 by competing at the FILA Junior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. In October 2016, Ritu won her second consecutive title at the annual National Wrestling Championships.
Subsequently, he participated in the 48 kg category at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championships held in Singapore in 2016 and won the gold medal. This was the turning point of his career.
In December 2016, Phogat became the most expensive female wrestler in the Pro Wrestling League auction, surpassing veteran players like Sakshi Malik and Geeta Phogat. He got a price of Rs. 36 lakhs to represent the Jaipur Ninjas franchise.
In November 2017, Ritu won a silver medal at the World Under-23 Wrestling Championship, which was held in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
In February 2019, Ritu decided to leave wrestling and pursue a career in MMA. He signed up with One Championship and was quoted by InsideSport,

Subsequently, she moved to Singapore and enrolled herself in the EVOLVE MAA organization to receive training on various martial arts forms such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, wrestling, and boxing.
On 16 November 2019, she made her MMA debut with ONE Championship in a match against veteran kickboxer Cindy Tiong of Malaysia.
