Richard Sherman had problems with the law in 2021

This isn’t the first time Sherman has gotten in trouble for driving under the influence. In 2021, the All-Pro cornerback crashed his car into a nearby construction zone. After that, he tried to break into his in-laws’ house. Fortunately for Sherman, he did not have to serve any time for the incident.

“In the summer of 2021, Sherman was arrested after he allegedly drove under the influence, crashed his SUV in a construction zone, and attempted to break into his in-laws’ home in suburban Seattle. The initial case against him included accusations of breaking and entering, DUI and resisting arrest,” NBC wrote.

“As part of a settlement with King County Superior Court following those incidents, he pleaded guilty in March 2022 to two misdemeanors: first-degree negligent driving and second-degree criminal trespass. The agreement included judicial supervision until part of 2024, as well as a 90-day suspended jail sentence.”

Shannon Sharpe criticizes former NFL star

Sherman has become one of the most popular figures in sports media since leaving the NFL behind. But since he concluded his playing days he has found himself in multiple run-ins with the law. It is something that has become quite worrying. NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe expressed his disappointment with the FS1 analyst.

“For Sherm to put himself in danger again and bring others in, that’s what disappoints me the most. Because he knows that’s not the case,” Sharpe said.

“You brought into the equation all the other cars that are on the road. We always say what didn’t happen, but when it does happen, ‘Thoughts and prayers.’ Thoughts and prayers help no one. I know Sherm. And I just hate that he put himself in this situation again.”
