- Rhythm Sangwan has always been around guns and ammunition since her childhood as her father was a policeman. She was fascinated by her father’s service revolver and would roam around the house wearing an empty holster. His mother was also a sports player during her school days; However, she could not continue it further. She always wanted Rhythm to get into sports and she accompanied him to all his practice sessions.
- At the age of 13, Rhythm started his shooting training in 2016 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi, where he was trained by national shooter Vineet Kumar.
- His parents built a basic shooting range for him to easily practice. In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, the in-house range helped a lot in maintaining his shooting form.
- In 2023, she broke a 29-year-old record in the women’s 25 meter pistol event at the IISF World Cup held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Rhythm scored 595 points and broke the previous record of 594 points held by 1994 Atlanta Olympic Games silver medalist and Bulgarian shooter Diana Iorgova.
