After completing her graduation, she started preparing for UPSC CSE and joined the General Studies Prelims cum Mains Program (2019-20) at the IAS Coaching Center Vajiram & Ravi Coaching Centre, Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi. During an interview, while talking about the preparations for the exam, he said,
When I was in college, I started my preparation but it was difficult to manage both so I actually started after 2019. I would say that the key to crack the UPSC exam is consistent hard work, discipline and a lot of patience. You have to make many sacrifices while preparing, such as giving up your social life, but you have to be consistent and disciplined to do so.
UPSC CSE Result (2020)
She appeared for the examination and secured 15th rank in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (2020). She scored a total of 1,021 marks i.e. 859 marks in the written test and 162 marks in the personality test (or interview). In an interview, she shared how she dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic situation. He said,
When the UPSC exams were postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I did not lose hope and continued studying through online coaching classes.
he adds,
The caste system is extremely rigid and I believe it should not exist. I was 18 years old when my elder sister stood first in UPSC. This was extremely inspiring. But if you ask me who is my inspiration, I would say it is my mother.
Riya’s elder sister Tina shared the news of Riya’s UPSC result on her Instagram account. she wrote,
I am happy to share that my younger sister Ria Dabi @ria.dabi has got 15th rank in UPSC 2020 exam.
Facts/General Knowledge
- During an interview, he told that he worked hard to pass the UPSC exam. She also said that after her coaching classes, she used to study at home for 10 hours daily and avoided using social media and used it only in case of emergency.
