Resident Evil Heardle Clone Will Scare You With Its Soundtrack

A new clone for Heardle, the popular spin-off of hit web game Wordle, puts players’ knowledge to the test with the new Resident Evil theme. Heardle has even spurred a fan to create a Kirby-themed Heardle. Now a new Heardle clone will further put gaming knowledge in the spotlight, testing their wits about Resident Evil.

Where Wordle will have players guessing a random five-letter word in six guesses, Heardle is all about testing the ear. In Heardle, there will be snippets of a random song from any genre, with only six guesses to pick the correct song. While the first snippet is only 1 second, the proceeding snippets get longer and longer, giving more hints as to what is being played. Heardle has only been around for 66 days at the time of this writing, yet has become one of the most popular spin-offs from Wordle in such a short period of time. Heardle’s popularity has grown so much so, that people have created different versions of it, such as a Heardle spin-off where players must guess a song from a random fighting game.

As Nintendo Life reported, a new Heardle spin-off has gamers itching to test their mettle in a scary-new format. This newest Heardle spin-off is dedicated to the iconic Resident Evil franchise. Created by AestheticGamer1 replaces the traditional “name that tune” with sounds from the Resident Evil franchise, with music and background tracks. AestheticGamer said in a tweet that they created this game with over 500 songs currently.

In a game like Resident Evil where there are so many different areas and environments to choose from, the possibilities stretch as far as the game’s soundtracks will go. As Resident Evil is one of gaming’s most recognizable series, many fans of the franchise will be jumping at the opportunity to try this out. But, as many gamers know, this series isn’t a light-hearted fairytale. It’s a series filled with eerie locations, bone-chilling scenery, and adrenaline-pumping action. This Heardle spin-off will truly test just how well fans know the franchise.

While Resident Evil is not the first video game to come to mind when making a music game, it definitely fits the bill. With over 20+ years in the industry, there have been many iconic songs to spawn from its many soundtracks. A personal favorite from the series would have to be Black Impact, from Resident Evil 2 Remake. As if being chased by Tyrant wasn’t scary enough, this song adds even more horror. Fans of the franchise will definitely have fun with this new Heardle spin-off. Just be sure to not play this game alone in the dark.
