Renee Simon Khanna is a famous Indian news broadcaster of Doordarshan during the 1980–90s. He started working with All India Radio at the age of just 13. Later, she became an English news reader for national news on DD. She is the female voice behind the English announcement of Delhi Metro.

Renee Simon (maiden name) was born in 1964 (age 59 years; as of 2023) in Kerala. Due to frequent transfers of his father, who was an Indian Air Force officer, he studied in various schools across India. In 1978, he completed his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Delhi. He completed his secondary education at the Air Force School, New Delhi in 1981. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Honors from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi in 1984. He obtained a Master of Arts degree in History in Delhi. University (1984–1986). From 1984 to 1985, he did a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. In 1984, she auditioned for Doordarshan and was selected as a newsreader.

Rini was 13 years old when she started working with All India Radio. He did many programs on radio like Request Show, Music Show, Roving Microphone, In the Groove, Yuva Vani etc. In 1982, he started reading primetime news on All India Radio.
Doordarshan
In 1984, Rini was selected as an English newsreader in Doordarshan and started news-reading with Parliament News. At the end of his third bulletin of Sansad Samachar, a critic, Amita Malik, noticed him and put him on national news along with anchor Tejeshwar Singh. He worked with Doordarshan for almost 2 decades till 2001.

- In school, he organized the Air Force Day parade show in which the then Prime Minister participated.
- While working at All India Radio, he covered many major events of national interest including Independence Day, Republic Day etc.
- He is also a voiceover artist and has lent his voice in many documentaries, ad films etc.
- Rini is the female voice behind Delhi Metro announcements; Shammi Narang is the male voice of Delhi Metro announcements.
