Reese Witherspoon and daughter Ava Phillippe were a study in contrasts when they stepped out for an afternoon together on Sunday (July 23) in Brentwood, Calif.
The 47-year-old Legally Blonde actress looked chic in all white, pairing a pair of shorts with a casual t-shirt and sandals. She accessorized with a turquoise necklace, sunglasses and a trendy straw hat.
Meanwhile, Ava, 23, opted for a black dress with long sleeves and a very low back. She carried a tan, fringed back and wore a pair of brown boots.

Ava, whom Reese shares with ex Ryan Phillippe, and her mom have been spending a good amount of time together lately. They were also on hand last week to cheer on her brother Deacon during his first concert.
Of course, fans can never get over how similar Reese and Ava look, with many referring to them as identical. However, her dad doesn’t exactly agree that they are twinning and thinks Ava looks like someone else.
FYI: Ava is wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses.
