This journey can be anything but easy. In 2013, he began his formal cricket training at the “Spartans Cricket Academy”, which he built with the help of his local friends.
During his early cricketing time, there were many occasions when he faced rejection. He was rejected in the Under-16 and then Under-19 cricket trials for Rajasthan. But the brave young man did not let the feeling of disappointment from those rejections diminish his determination to accomplish his goals. Eventually, 18-year-old Ravi got his first breakthrough when he was selected to play for the Rajasthan Under-19 team in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy in October 2018. On 21 February 2019, he made his T20 debut for Rajasthan. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. From here his career started flourishing. He made his List-A cricket debut for Rajasthan in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in September 2019. The very next month, in October 2019, he was selected in the India A squad for the Deodhar Trophy 2019–20. Later, in December 2019, he was bought by Kings XI Punjab in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

In the wake of the ugly brawl, the ICC banned five players from the Indian side, including Ravi Bishnoi and Akash Singh, for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct relating to “disrespecting the game”. In addition, Ravi was also found guilty of breaching another ICC rule relating to the use of “speech, actions or gestures which are insulting or which are likely to provoke an aggressive reaction from the batsman after his dismissal.” Ravi Bishnoi was imposed 7 demerit points by ICC (International Cricket Council).
