Legal battle with Tamil Weekly over a defamatory article
Raai Lakshmi filed a suit against the Tamil weekly Kumudam for publishing an article titled Ore Arayil Herovudan Thanginal Thappa. (Is it wrong to be in a room with a hero?), which damaged his image. He approached the court demanding compensation of Rs 30 lakh for defamation and the Madras High Court banned publishing any articles regarding him.
