R Badri made his acting debut in 2014 when he starred in the Bengali action drama film ‘Nandigramar Chokher Pani’ (Tears of Nandigram). Based on true events, the film is about the struggle of the villagers of Nandigram, West Bengal, to protect their land, livelihood and identity by fighting against the construction of a chemical factory in their village.
After this, he worked as a theater artist for some time and honed his acting skills.
