Punit Tiwari is an Indian actor, story writer and writer, best known for playing the role of Prince Mishra in the TVF web series Sandeep Bhaiya (2023).

He did his schooling from Deshbandhu Vidyalaya Boys, Chittaranjan. Subsequently, he joined Kuvempu University, Shimoga, Karnataka, where he pursued B.Sc. in IT (2008–2011). Later, he did a Post Graduate Diploma in TV Journalism (2012-2013) from Jamia Millia Islamia, Central University of New Delhi. He received a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana (2013-2014). Subsequently, he pursued an acting course at Madhya Pradesh School of Drama, Bhopal (2014–2016).

In 2011, she started working as a freelance writer after which she worked for Room to Read, a non-profit organization in New Delhi. In October 2013, he joined the science content team of Pratham Education Foundation in New Delhi.
Theater
In 2011, he began his association with an amateur theater group called Bahrup Arts Group, consisting mainly of students from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has worked with many renowned theater directors such as Devendra Raj Ankur, Rita Ganguly Raghuveer Yadav, Govind Namdev, Shahid Anwar, Sanjay Upadhyay and KS Rajendran. In 2015, she joined the theater group Kala Mandali in New Delhi. In 2017, he acted in the theatrical production of Sanjay Upadhyay’s Neelkanth Nirala by Madhya Pradesh School of Drama.

In the same year, he also toured for Madhya Pradesh School of Drama’s theatrical production ‘Aranya Gatha’ directed by Kanhaiyalal Kaithwas.

His work won him the Shrilal Shukla Smriti IFFCO Sahitya Samman in 2017. Other theatrical productions he starred in include Bahrup Arts Group’s Pagal Tantra (2018). He has also worked as a theater director. In 2019, he designed and directed the play In Dino Everyday.

In 2017, he made his acting debut in the social comedy film Panchalat, in which he played the role of Nand Ji, which streamed on MX Player.

In 2018, he appeared in the Netflix crime drama film Sony in which he played a second naval officer. In 2019, he played the role of a junior ophthalmologist in Prime Video’s web series Lakhon Mein Ek.

He appeared as Amit Trivedi in the short film Comedian (2019) and The Joker in White Shadows (2020). In 2021, he starred as Amit in Jamun, 200: Halla Ho as Santosh and I Am Draupadi. In 2023, he played the role of Veer Singh’s son-in-law in the Netflix web series Trial by Fire. In the same year, he appeared as Monu – Kaindu employee in the film Chhatriwali. Punit came into limelight with TVF’s web series Sandeep Bhaiya (2023), in which he played the role of Prince Mishra.

In 2014, he starred in Chatkara News, a political satire show on Anjan TV channel, where he used to do amusing imitations of several politicians like Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
