Early in his career, Prakash Thuminad worked as a supporting actor in Kannada and Tulu cinema. He became a well-known face in the film industry after his performance in the 2017 Kannada language film “Ondu Motteya Kaathe”, in which he played the role of Srinivas.

In 2018, he appeared in the Kannada language film “Katheyondu Shuruvagide”. His performance as Bhujanga in the Kannada language film “Sarkari Hiriya Prathmika Shale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai” (2018) was highly appreciated by the audience. In 2020, he played the role of Nara aka Narayan in the Tulu film “2 Acre”. His performance in the Kannada language film “Kanthara” (2022), in which he played the role of Rampa, became his career breakthrough.
