Prajwal Devaraj’s acting career began as a child artiste in the film Channappa Channagowda (1999). His first film as a lead actor was the Kannada film Sixer (2007) in which he played the role of a teenager named Rahul who works for an underworld don. For his role in this film, he won Star Suvarna’s Suvarna Award for Best Debut Actor. His next film Geleya (2007) was a commercial success in which he played a character working for an anti-social group called Guru.
Some of the notable characters he played during the early years of his career were Vijay Kumar in the film Meravanige (2008), Murali in the film Murali Meets Meera (2011), Subramanya Shastri in the film Super Shastri (2012) and Abhi in the film Galatte (2013). ).
He played the role of an assistant director named Dev in the Kannada film Neenade Na (2014), which was produced by Prajwal’s father Devaraj.
