His first film as a lead actor was the Kannada film Sixer (2007) in which he played the role of a teenager named Rahul who works for an underworld don. For his role in this film, he won Star Suvarna’s Suvarna Award for Best Debut Actor. His next film Geleya (2007) was a commercial success in which he played a character working for an anti-social group called Guru.
