Posani Krishna Murali was born on Wednesday, 22 January 1958 (age 65 years; as in 2023) in Pedakakani, Andhra Pradesh, India. Their zodiac sign is Aquarius. On 3 January 2009, he joined the Praja Rajyam Party, ahead of the 2009 general elections. In 2009, he contested the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly election from Chilakaluripet constituency on the Praja Rajyam Party ticket and lost. In 2011, Posani parted ways with the Praja Rajyam Party and joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. On 3 November 2022, Posani Krishna Murali was appointed as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation.

rift with Pawan Kalyan
On the night of 29 September 2021, two unidentified men on a motorcycle pelted stones at the house of Posani Krishna Murali in Yellareddyguda. Earlier that day, Posani held a press meeting at the Somajiguda Press Club, where he criticized actor-politician Pawan Kalyan for supporting the Andhra Pradesh government. Later, he held another meeting in which he told that he was abused by more than 5000 people for his comments on Pawan Kalyan. In this meeting Posani was physically attacked by some unknown people. On September 30, 2021, Posani lodged a complaint at SR Nagar Police Station, after which the police arrested the culprits who attacked him. Posani held a press meeting the next day in which he used the words vagabond and broker for Pawan Kalyan. He also alleged that Kalyan’s fans were behind the attack on his house. Reportedly, Posani said that if he dies in this dispute, Pawan Kalyan and his fans will be responsible for his death.
