Batra was also among the semi-finalists at Miss International 1993. After completing his education, he entered the Bollywood industry and acted in many films.

Pooja Batra was born on 27 October 1976 (age 43 years; as in 2019) in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his graduation in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune and MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis International University, Pune. While she was in school, she was active in athletics. She used to participate in 200 and 400 meter sprint races. Pooja had represented her school in athletics in various national level races. Her mother was one of the top five Miss India contestants in 1971, who encouraged her to pursue the same line. Therefore, inspired by her mother, she participated in Femina Miss in 1993. Pooja Batra was crowned Femina Miss India International; Additionally, she was one of the semi-finalists in the Miss International beauty pageant. After completing his studies, he entered the Bollywood industry.

Pooja Batra joined the modeling industry at a very young age. Her parents wanted her to complete her education and then join the glamor world; Therefore, she worked as a part-time model to raise funds for her education. When she was 18 years old, she competed in Femina Miss India and was crowned Miss India International. She started getting film offers while she was in college; However, she wanted to complete her education first. She came into limelight after appearing in a television commercial for Liril soap.
She made her Bollywood debut in 1997 with the film “Virasat” alongside Tabu and Anil Kapoor.
