Typhlosion is a Fire-type raid boss in Pokémon GO that usually appears in three-star raids. Players will need to exploit Typhlosion’s weaknesses in order to defeat it and get the opportunity to catch it. There is also a small chance that players will be able to capture a Shiny Typhlosion after defeating it in a raid. The Shiny version of Typhlosion is has a purple hue on its back instead of dark blue.
Typhlosion appears in three-star raids, so players may need to team up with a few other trainers in order to defeat it. Players can invite their friends to raids in Pokémon GO by entering the raid and selecting the invite button on the right side above the Pokémon team. For three-star raids, it’s recommended that players have at least one additional trainer with them. However, if players use super-effective moves, then they may be able to win the raid solo.
Once players defeat Typhlosion, they will get the opportunity to catch either the regular version or a Shiny Typhlosion. Catch chances are increased the quicker players defeat Typhlosion, and the catch rate can be increased by using a Razz Berry or Golden Razz Berry. Players can also increase the amount of candy they receive for catching Typhlosion by using a Pinap or Silver Pinap Berry in Pokémon GO. Candies can be used to increase the CP of Typhlosion after it’s captured. Catching Typhlosion will add a strong Fire-type Pokémon to any players team in Pokémon GO.

Typhlosion is a Fire-type Pokémon and is weak against Water, Ground, and Rock moves. Players can change their Pokémon’s moves by using Fast and Charged TMs until they have the best moveset for each Pokémon. TMs can be obtained by winning raids and completing Special Research Tasks. Once players have a team of Pokémon with super-effective moves, they can enter the raid and battle against Typhlosion.

The best moves to use for Typhlosion are Incinerate and Blast Burn. However, Blast Burn can only be taught using an Elite TM on a Typhlosion that was caught during the Community Day Event, so players will need to use the next best Fire-type move, Overheat. Typhlosion is a strong Fire-type Pokémon that can be found in three-star raids in Pokémon GO.
