With production on the new season of Pawn Stars underway, it was revealed that the show will not address the death of Rick Harrison’s son, Adam.
As previously reported, Rick revealed that Adam’s cause of death was a fentanyl overdose. “The fentanyl crisis in this country needs to be taken more seriously,” he said. Pawn stars’ Lead explained. “It seems like he is just overstepping the boundaries and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
The Harrison family released a statement regarding Adam’s death. “Our family is extremely saddened by Adam’s death. We ask for privacy as we mourn the loss of him.”
A spokesperson for the Harrison family revealed to TMZ that since Rick addressed Adam’s death last month, there will be no further comment in future episodes. It was also noted that Adam was not a cast member of the show.
The news outlet further reported that members of the Harrison family are staying busy following Adam’s death. Although Adam helped out at Harrison’s world-famous gold and silver pawn shop years ago, he did not appear in Pawn stars.
Adam was the second child of Rick and his first wife Kim. His older brother, Corey, is a cast member of the show. After divorcing Kim, Rick married his second wife, Tracy, and had a son, Jake.

Just after Adam Harrison’s death was announced, more details emerged about his life before his sudden passing.
According to the New York Post, the second eldest son of pawn stars Rick Harrison spent three months in prison. He then moved to a guest house in Las Vegas.
It is not clear exactly why he was imprisoned. However, Rick issued a statement saying, “Fentanyl turned my son into someone he was not and that led to bad decisions and jail time.”
Two weeks before his death, Adam was living in the boarding house. A woman who lived in a mobile home near the main and guest house had told authorities that Rick’s son had displayed “alarming behavior.” This included barricading themselves in the house.
“Their conversations often lacked sound reasoning and mental clarity,” a police report revealed.
The woman also said that Adam got two black eyes after finding out that a person he liked had a new boyfriend. “He didn’t want to beat up his new boyfriend, so he beat up himself.”
