Former NCIS actress Pauley Perrette took to Twitter to share some important life news, including a lengthy post describing how she survived a horrific stroke. Perrette (53) expressed in sad words that a year ago, on September 2, 2021, she almost died of a stroke. Pauley attached to her post a video of her commenting on the incident:

“2. It’s September now. A year ago, I had a major stroke. Before that, I had lost many loved ones, including my father and cousin Wayne. Despite this terrible existence, I have rescued so far, I’m still alive… And I’m still grateful, still full of faith, and STILL HERE!”

Perrette went on to describe her difficulties:

“Oh my god, today is September 2, a year after my stroke, and I’m still alive… Yes, I’m still here, how many times have I cheated?”

“My allergy to hair dye almost killed me. I’m allergic to certain foods. I was a victim of abuse and domestic violence, I was attacked by a mentally ill homeless man and almost nearly killed me. I’m still here, you know, I’m filled with gratitude, especially for my rescue dogs around.

The actress also told how hard she had been in the past two years. Pauley thanked her followers for their continued love and support, noting that she was “still here”. She stated:

“I am here and I am still here. I’m in a good mood. In the past two years, I’ve been through a lot. Things worse than a stroke… But I’m still here and I’m grateful. Thank you to all my fans. Thanks a lot. God bless everyone. I am still present.”

Pauley Perrette revealed her terrifying experience with hair dye in an interview with Queen Latifah in 2015. She said she suffered from severe swelling on her face due to an allergy to hair dye.

In the interview, she said:

“When I got to the hospital, half of my head was this size, the other half was this size, my eyes were puffy and I thought, ‘Everybody needs to see this.’ Now we have spray glue. black hair. So I always dyed my hair black.”
