Philbin made his debut on Opie & Anthony in 1995 and continued to appear until 2014. When he accepted the challenge of drinking 75 glasses of wine, he quickly became a fan favorite. He then entered Nathan’s Famous Sausage Eating Contest, finishing second when he ate 26 sausages in ten minutes. In an interview with NJ.com, he said that when he first started cooking, he made hot dogs. He continued:
