Following the terrifying shooting incident during the Kansas City Super Bowl celebration parade, Patrick Mahomes turned to X to speak out.

Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill also posted on x. “Let us pray that the doctors [and] The lifeguards would have steady hands. [and] that everyone would experience total healing,” he wrote. Mahomes quickly retweeted the post.
As previously reported, gunfire erupted west of the city’s Union Station during the Chief’s Super Bowl parade. Authorities stated that several people were reportedly shot and transported to nearby hospitals. It was later revealed that there were more than 10 gunshot victims.
Patrick Mahomes was in Kansas City to celebrate his and the Chiefs’ big win in Super Bowl VIII on Sunday, February 11. The number of victims was reported to be 14. Kansas City Fire Department spokesperson Michael Hopkins told CNN that, in addition to Death, three of the victims are in critical condition. Five were in serious condition. One of them had injuries that were not life-threatening.
Hopkins further stated that five additional victims have sought medical attention for injuries caused by the event. However, it is unknown if they were victims of gunshots. Kansas City police shared that they detained two armed people after the shooting near a rally celebrating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. They were arrested and taken for further investigation.
One woman told KCTV she didn’t immediately realize what was happening. She saw police officers start running into buildings around Union Station. As she watched the officers head toward a stairwell, she heard popping sounds.
Another woman also shared: “I was telling everyone to get down, duck and get out of the way, and then the officers started turning around.
The incident remains under investigation.
