Patrick Mahomes’ Brother Jackson Spotted Helping Lost Child Amid Parade Shooting

As chaos erupted on the streets of Kansas City after gunshots were heard near Union Station, Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson was seen caring for a child lost in the middle of the incident on Wednesday, February 14.

According to the Daily Mail, a parade attendee turned to X to reveal more details about Jackson’s quick thinking to help a child. “I don’t care what anyone says, but I have found a new respect for Jackson Mahomes,” wrote the X user. “Ana and I were stuck hiding with him at Union Station next to the trains and he was babysitting a child who lost his parents and helping him calm down.”

Randi, Patrick Mahomes’ mother, responded to the post with a heart emoji. The original poster sent Randi a message: “I hope the boy was able to reunite with his family! Tell Jackson we thank him!

Randi then wrote: “What a terrifying and unthinkable day. I am grateful that everyone was together in those moments. As [a] Mom I want to thank you. Jackson was able to take the boy to the police for help. Blessings to you.”

Andy Reid is seen guarding parade goers during the shooting

Jackson, Patrick Mahomes’ brother, is one of many people close to the Kansas City Chiefs organization who stepped in to help those in need during the parade shooting.

As previously reported, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid stepped in to comfort a teenager during the incident.

“Andy Reid was trying to comfort me, which was nice,” said teenager Gabe Wallace. “He was like hugging me, like, ‘Are you okay, man? Are you OK? Please breathe.’ He was being very nice and all.”

Wallace had attended the event along with his friend Hank Hunt when the shots were heard. “The security guard told me, ‘Go over the damn fence right now.’ There’s a shooter,’” Wallace explained as he recalled the events.

Kansas City Chief players Blaine Gabbert, Tre Smith, Austin Reiter and Chris Oladukun also joined in to help panicked children during the shooting. NFL reporter Albert Breer said Smith gave an upset child the WWE title belt. He then saw the young man as they calmed down.
