Patrick Mahomes admits he sings Taylor Swift songs in the shower

Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, proves to be quite the Swiftie and admits that he sings Taylor Swift songs in the shower.

During a question and answer session at Disneyland on Monday, February 12, Mahomes was asked what the last song he sang on the show was. He quickly responded, the NFL star stating: “‘I love it History’ by Taylor Swift.”

In addition to chatting about his favorite Taylor Swift songs, Patrick Mahomes also said he has more than 300 unread text messages since winning Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11. “So, I need to catch up,” he shared.

In late 2023, Mahomes spoke about Swift and his relationship with teammate Travis Kelce. He noted that Kelce is blessed to be a great woman.

“She’s top-notch in her profession,” Patrick Mahomes said of Taylor Swift during his CBS Mornings interview. “And to see how he drives and how he becomes that… Man, it’s really cool to hear and see, and now I get to see it firsthand through Brittany and Travis’ eyes.”

Mahomes also said that when Kelce and Swift started dating, everyone stayed away to let Kelce do what he was doing. “Then he started reaching out to Taylor and realized how great of a person she was,” Mahomes continued. “And it is, and for us there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning.”

Patrick Mahomes then added that Taylor Swift is now part of Chiefs Kingdom. “She’s part of the team.”

Also during his interview with CBS MorningsPatrick Mahomes opened up about Taylor Swift’s friendship with his wife Brittany.

“It’s great that he hugged Brittany,” Mahomes noted. “And they have also forged a friendship. So for me, it’s Travis, man, and he’s blessed to be with a great girl and a great woman, and it’s been great interacting with her.”

Patrick Mahomes went on to say that after spending time with Taylor Swift, he’s glad to know she’s the person she is. “That’s why I think she and Travis match so well.”

Mahomes previously spoke about meeting Swift for the first time. “She’s really great, good people. But like Trav said, I’ll let them have her privacy and move on.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship first made headlines in late September. Swift attended 12 Kansas City Chiefs games during the 2023 NFL season and was at Super Bowl LVIII supporting Kelce.
