Prove yourself at Kenabres, Pathfinder: Wrath of Justice Heroes will be given command of the crusade. A wise commander will quickly notice the lack of numbers and direction in this army before going into battle. By lovingly nurturing the Crusader effort, the army will come back strong and healthy.
The crusade system was built on the original discovery in Pathfinder: King Maker. Many decisions will be based on input from team members and other allies. This even includes unique options for all the different mythological paths. As in the original game, players should be willing to use their personal assets to fund city management and government policy.
in spite of the wrath of the righteous Offers an automatic campaign option, not recommended. Choices made by the computer can make certain mythical paths (such as Lich) unwinnable. It also locks in role-playing opportunities, as cutscenes and events will be skipped. If you run into any trouble, consider a “causal” setting to make crusades easier but still within the player’s control.
Pathfinder: Queen’s March in Righteous Wrath
Starting with the second level, Queen Calvary will assist the player in forming a rudimentary crusader army. Despite centuries of experience, or perhaps because of it, the army is now fragmented. It is important for the player to determine the military situation before engaging in any battle, otherwise losses can snowball.
hire generals
The condition of the troop units was so bad, in fact, that a general was needed to power up, cast spells, and reduce deaths. At any given time, players can hire from a pool of 12 potential champions with three possible ranks, although their prices will increase dramatically as more are acquired. The starting candidates and actions are:
- Ludvig the Swordman (Warrior): Spellcraft, Cover
- Furio Solaretti (Gladiator): Offensive training, offensive formation
- Sir Tector Silverhill (Fighter): Master of maneuver, defensive formation
- Iron Bregweld (Gladiator): defensive training, offensive formation
- Vigard the Raider (Ranger): defensive training, weakening traps
- Al’Mahti Grinning Wolf (Ranger): Attack drills, stoning
- Soravielle Evenmist (Ranger): Master of Mobility, Flare
- White Nysa (Ranger): Threat, Explosive Trap
- Setsuna Shy (Mage): Master of Control, Searing Ray
- Leader of Ageboya (Mage): Magic, Light
- Baron Gunther (Mage): Attack Training, Heroism
- Magister Pilkwell (Mage): defensive training, causing fear
Champions receive new abilities randomly as they level up, making the first two very important. Maneuver Master is by far the best ability, as it increases the maximum number of units in a battalion, which means exponentially higher attack power. In addition, spells are often most useful because of their large range and high performance. Traps also have an advantage, as approaching enemies will fall into these hazards. The formation that boxers usually learn is lackluster, a waste of an ability position.
Taking all these factors into consideration, Setsuna Shy ended up being the best champion. The increased unit size and his deadly fire attack are huge advantages, allowing him to crush almost the entire Mendev map. If the army is really big enough, the player can also consider hiring Ageboya Leader, Soraviella Evenmist or Baron Gaunter as the second battalion. All other champions end up pretty mediocre.
recruit soldiers
In the second act, the player can get new soldiers from Kenabres. Because they were always deployed from this city, the closer the Crusade got to Drezen, the longer it took for the recruits to arrive at the rendezvous point. It might be a good idea to stretch the events of the story and build a large army before moving on.
Recruits are of two types: weekly recruits and mercenaries. Weekly is usually cheaper and will be the consistent second type of action by infantry or archers. Mercenaries are more expensive, but usually very powerful. Players will likely find priests, hell knights, or rangers. Every week, the Mercenary Group can be re-spinned for free or get an additional 20,000 Finance Points. Note that if a mercenary type is found twice, they will not reduce the cost
Drezen Command in Pathfinder: Righteous Wrath
While in Act 3, Queen Galfrey will remove the training wheels and allow full control of the Crusade Pathfinder: Wrath of Justice. Players will need to make important choices or end up with extra powers. If there is a shortage of war funds, gold can be converted into financial points, material points or energy points as needed.
settlement construction
Players will need to repair Drezen and other liberated fortresses. Gone are the free weekly units; now player need to build main barracks for each type of unit. At first, this will include infantry and snipers, but will soon expand to cavalry, mages and seasoned veterans. Drezen itself is large, allowing for three distinct areas consisting of 2×6, 4×4 and 4×3 respectively. Since buildings are 1 to 4 squares in size, it’s best to use a 4×4 distraction for military units, while add-ons like the Teleport Circle and the Pathfinders Association Lodge are within 2×6 area.
Fortresses were originally laid out in a 2×2 layout, limiting the number of potential buildings. Players should aim to build two types of barracks (most useful for archery) and a supply center. Each captured demon fortress is automatically added to the crusader faction, meaning more land to build on.
Council meetings
From time to time, Congress would discuss the direction and plan of the Crusade Pathfinder: Wrath of Justice. Players need to go directly to Drezen Citadel to participate in these sessions. Some of these will dramatically change units spawned from barracks or mercenary groups. Existing party members attended the meeting. This means that some themes or options will not appear if the character is missing, dead, or unrecruited. Popular participants include Seelah, Regill, Lann, Wenduag, Woljif, Gerybor and Arueshalae.
Each consultant brings a different idea to each meeting. Overall, the best picks are the ones that give a higher demon’s attack damage, attack range, speed, or defense. Players will want to avoid any suggestions to increase defense, over-heal, or reduce demon attack.
Orders
Players can issue decrees even off the field. There will be multiple options, some based on mythological paths and party members. It’s always best to prioritize items that provide experience points, rank boosts, money, or some sort of passive reward. Accepting Freedom soldiers is mostly worthless because for crusades that target thousands of members, it usually has less than 20 men.
As the player nears the end of Level 3, Queen Galfrey returns to evaluate the player. In most cases, she will only approve the choices of the Angels and Mythos Eternal Path characters. She would almost certainly punish those who made the decision to follow the advice of Lich, Demon, Trickster, and Azata. If so, she will take command of the crusaders and destroy any player progress by disbanding battalions and rearranging fortresses. Players in this position should consider completing the entire Mendef Crusade map in Level 3 rather than risking disaster later.
