This allows viewers to binge-watch the entire season, ending with some unresolved kinks and a preview of what’s to come.
Though Peacock hasn’t innovated yet, one of us is lying Showrunner Erica Saleh talked about how the episode ended TV line. Since it’s tied to that quick exaggeration, Saleh notes that the hope is to do it in a way that allows fans to follow the character’s journey. Saleh also said that fast-forwarding is important for the beginning of the episodes, and while it’s largely absent in season two, it would be interesting to make the device more central:
So far, we’re hoping to be able to do this quickly so we can, well, figure out what happens on graduation day and find out if these kids can graduate from high school. or not.
It’s still too early to tell, but I like the idea that flashbacks are really a big part of the storytelling in season one. In season two, we always take care of everything. So thematically, trying to build a season at a fast pace feels very enjoyable. But if we join, all of this will be seen [writers’] Room.
One Of Us Liars Season 2 Finale Explained

It is revealed that Fiona (Medora Lynn) has known Jack since she was in rehab, and that Fiona is the anonymous blackmailer known as “Simon Says.” The Murder Club devises a plan to blame her for Jack’s murder, but the plan is foiled and Fiona can’t escape the police. While the Murder Club feels like they can finally escape the chaos of Fiona’s detention, a flashback to the finale confirmed that more trouble lies ahead.
As Saleh had predicted, another bloody crime scene appeared on campus on graduation day. It remains to be seen how all of this will change if Peacock is renewed for an adaptation, but the screenwriters have outlined a roadmap for where the story will go.
