The white Ford Bronco from OJ Simpson and AC Cowlings’ infamous low-speed police chase is for sale with a price tag of $1.5 million.
Collections website Clict reported that the three owners of the vehicle, who are Simpson’s former agent, Michael Gilbert, and two friends of the original owner, Cowlings, revealed plans to sell the vehicle days after the NFL star in Unfortunately he died of cancer.
The trio told Clict that even before OJ Simpson passed away, they considered selling the Bronco in 2024. “Because it’s the 30th anniversary,” Gilbert explained. “Who knows if we will be there on the 35th or the 40th?”
Although they originally agreed to sell the Bronco for $75,000 to a celebrity souvenir shop in Las Vegas, the three were able to convince AC Cowlings to sell it to them.
Since 2016, the Bronco has been on loan to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Before that, it was parked in space 144 of a Los Angeles condo garage for 17 years. It was also briefly used to promote a sports museum.
Gilbert said the vehicle was also at his home at one point. “My wife didn’t like it there,” she explained. “She wanted her parking spot back.”
Ally Pennington, director of programs and artifacts at the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, spoke about the popularity of the Bronco over the years. “I think it’s one of those vehicles that most people have heard of,” she said. PEOPLE.

The trio stated that they wanted to sell the vehicle for at least $1.5 million. However, the last offer was for $750,000.

Often confused with OJ Simpson’s vehicle, the white Ford Bronco was owned by AC Cowlings and was identical to the one Simpson owned.
Less than a week after his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman were brutally murdered outside their Brentwood condo, the Los Angeles Police Department advised Simpson to turn himself in.
Simpson had become a suspect in the murders, due to his violent past with Brown. During the couple’s seven years of marriage, he was accused of physically abusing her. He even pleaded no contest to charges of spousal abuse in 1989. Nicole filed for divorce in 1992.
However, Simpson decided not to follow orders and asked Cowlings to give him a ride in the Bronco. This began the infamous two-hour slow-speed police chase.
Cowlings drove Simpson in the Bronco 60 miles along the Santa Ana Freeway, Artesia Freeway and San Diego Freeway. The duo returned to Simpson’s Brentwood mansion, where police officially arrested him.
The chase began at 5:56 pm and ended at approximately 7:57 pm. Almost 100 million people witnessed the historic event. He was later acquitted of the murders during the “Trial of the Century.”
